This Ahsanul Islam, I was born and brought up in a remote costal village of Patuakhali, Bangladesh. Since my childhood, I have observed that most of the people are affected by number of cyclone in every year and struggling to manage their lives and livelihoods due to natural disaster, poverty and poor health. I completed my graduation from Sher-e-Bangla Medical college, Barisal and then completed Master in Public Health from North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. 

Since 2003, I have been working in Public health and development professional with over 12 years of management and leadership experience with regards to programming on reproductive, maternal and newborn health in Bangladesh with different well reputed national & international organization, like, BRAC, Concern Worldwide, Save the Children-USA, CARE Bangladeshand Jhpiego. Special interest on developing a functional health system, community empowerment, social &behavior change communication (SBCC), quality assurance system at the service delivery point and strengthening over all public health system to address equity issues related to access to health services. I have led a project that tested and demonstrated community based models in addressing MNH which have been highly recognized in Bangladesh and abroad.
